A former librarian for the Canterbury Public Library, NIWA and DSIR, Dorothea combines her superb administrative skills with her interest in science in her role at EOS.
As the General Office Clerk, Dorothea effortlessly takes care of all the details that help EOS run smoothly. “After working for NIWA and the DSIR, I’m really enjoying being back in a scientific environment again. I’m also really fortunate that I get to work with a bunch of really interesting people!”
Interesting Titbit
With her spare time ideally spent kayaking on Lyttelton Harbour, Dorothea also plans to learn how to scuba dive so she can one day dive the Great Barrier Reef. Her interests, however, are not only aquatic-based – Dorothea is also involved in a conservation planting project in Lyttelton and Rapaki where she teaches students how to plant native species.
